  • Unfathomably, fantastically, categorically stunningly beautiful.

  • if boredom is getting all over me, or reason is abandoning me, I stop, listen to this, and everything falls right in its place again...

  • I enjoy this recording very much. Dont get me wrong However I do have issue with the huge amount of vibrato used. The pitching of the melody is so shaky the actual melody is wobbling like a giant jelly. Once again I repeat - I DO like this recording.

  • This music is for a love I could not have, the peace and tranqility that this brings to my life, a love so rich, a lost love, a moment in time, a kiss, a fleeting moment of love. Thank You

  • Maestro Valery Gergiev most certainly does his part ~ to make this wonderful composition reach all the way into the soul.

  • My reaction is essentially that of puccini007.

  • @jhill74893 We did five Proms last year, and got the Last Night too! Three of the gigs were Mahler. I've been to the Albert Hall for dozens of occasions since 1996.

  • @lazza747 thanx for supporting the proms. 10:06 minutes of sheer heaven. The conductor looks like is really feeling the music. I have been to the albert hall on 3 occasions and have seen the first night of the proms. It is a great venue.

  • @jhill74893 I paid good money to be there last year when it was performed again. :-)

  • that was awesome. I would have paid good money to be there. The best I have ever heard it. Just close your eyes and it transports you to dreamland

  • The strings could be more together
