  • very interesting video.

  • @wukillah92 Thanks for the comment. There is a little bit of Floyd Patterson in all of us.

  • The 8 rounder you refer to was Floyd Patterson defeating Esau Ferdinand Oct. ll, 1954 in NYC.

Alas, I was only a spectator.

  • I think that quick KO's by Liston revealed the truth about Patterson.

  • Interesting comment. Thank you.

  • Patterson's chin was too weak, and Marciano's was granite - I see Marciano grinding one out by stoppage in the mid-to-late rounds, though he might hit the canvas once or twice on the way.

  • Thanks for the 1st comment on this video and for the interesting comment of a few days ago.

  • Good video! Floyd was a great champion and human being

  • Looking back I remember reading Floyd's book

"Victory Over Myself". No contest, Floyd was more than an Olympic champion and the two-time heavyweight

champion. He was a class act inside the ring

and in the everyday life where he helped others.

  • not to sound like an idiot in that comment btw.

  • cus would never put him in the ring with marciano, secondly patterson never had a weak jaw.. he was just really scared of sonny liston in pattersons second comming in the late 60's early 70's he went through wars his fight with george chuvalo is a testament to how much of a decent jaw he had.

  • I'd love you to do a video on Sonny Liston. I'd like to know your thoughts on him. Thanks.

  • FLOYD PATTERSON MOVIE !

  • @Tengoshi i disagree when Patterson came along Marciano was the old lion,Patterson was the young lion. Patterson's young legs would have been too much for the aging Rocky. All fighters face the day when their legs fail them. Father time would have have beaten the Rock more than Patterson. Rocky was great, but also human.

  • to add to my other comment i posted on this video....this reminds me of the patterson v ellis fight...he put the badly beaten ellis down in the 14th, and like you say helps him up...he didnt get credited with the knockdown, afterwards he was badly robbed {in most peoples eyes} of winning a title for the third time in that fight....i have a great photo i must show you of him not complaining with the decision...i also have a photo with me and him in 95 i'd like to show you.

  • Floyd had some good fights after he lost to Liston and Ali. He was doing pretty good for a while too until he lost his rematch with Ali in 72. That fight was stopped on cuts.

  • patterson was a great legend thats why i loaded him on my fight night round 4 game on ps 3 lol even though he was like 180 or 188 i put him 208 on the game cause he would have to be atleast around that weight to hang in there with the bigger heavyweights like ali, foreman, lewis, and the klitshckos
