  • As a Javelin thrower myself I would have to say that the satisfaction of being the best in your area at something is much more rewarding than being a good pitcher. For instance:

At my university I walked on the track team with no prior Javelin experience, no athletic experience, just a really strong will and the mind set that I'm the best at whatever I do.

Started out as the worst on the team, coach had no hope for me, ended the season as the best by a long shot and am now on scholarship.

I agree. pitching is pretty different. I just love baseball so much that I see a dude with a strong arm and I feel he should take advantage of that and be part of that awesome passtime/sport.

  • @ajwazhere

No contest. you are right. He's the Nolan Ryan of Track & Field. I'm a fan of both sports. Just hated to see the guy make a showing and then not stick with it. He's teaching javelin these days so I'm sure it worked out fine for him to not play baseball. Baseball can be a grueling dirty sport and it's a bitch to move up in it.

  • @raahr Let's weigh it out. 95 mph pitcher... MLB has plenty of those... or world record Javelin thrower... nope just one.

  • @vizel001 u wish !

  • I've always been told to throw the jav more like a football (over the top) than like a baseball (elbow out from body). Most javelin throwers would make better QBs than pitchers, I imagine.

  • He should have tried. he said that his armed was guaged for distance. He should have brought it in and worked on it. He could have easily hit 95 mph if he put put his mind into training baseball.

  • hell yeah me 2

  • My dads name is Jan Zelezny

  • can someone translate what is being said?
