Human Fatality in DVA is Murder One "Over 1.5 million deer/vehicle crashes occur per year in the U.S., causing over $1.1 billion in vehicle damage, more than 29,000 human injuries and 150 deaths." Statistics may be boring, but they are consistent. It dictates that given 30 million deer roaming across the land, and given 3-trillion vehicle-miles per year on American highways, and, not least of all, given a hunting reason entertaining 1.5 million hunters in Pennsylvania alone, and 15 million across the land, which causes deer to blindly dash out of forests into the path of speeding vehicles in evasion of the lethal human intruders the hunters, there WILL be about 1.5 million deer-vehicle collisions (DVCs) or deer-vehicle accidents (DVAs), which WILL cost about 1.5 million deer lives and about 150 human lives, plus about 30,000 human injuries.

Well kids... A couple of things you are overlooking here, 1. gunshots don't scare deer like you have heard and once again don't know it doesn't make them run across roads especially, if you ever make it out away from the computer and observe you will see this is correct..2. most deer car accidents are at night or dark early morning, when hunters aren't even IN THE WOODS.. oops you messed that one up big time...l.ol.3. why you ask? because they are nocturnal combined with the RUT = COLLISION

The report also confirms that most wild animal collisions occur during early morning (5am-7am) or after sunset (5pm-11pm). Deer hunting is permitted one half hour before sunrise and one half hour after sunset. These are the times sport hunters are also most active. (before work and after work)

I see plenty of forest and deer from where I sit and I bet I see more then you do. You are in forest to kill them and I am in there to protect , defend and observe. Of course gun shot scares the deer their hearing is very sensitive. I see my deer get spooked out by any kind of sudden noises and run. Imagine having millions of killers in their home terrorizing their forest with their strong intent to kill. ? Animals can sense danger and threats. Rut is part of nature you are not

If you say more people have quit wildlife killing which is very good but I do not understand during that 15 year period they did not realize that killing was not working. Why do they still negate deer birth control then? Why don't they at least use it in conjunction with wildlife killing so then population can go down and stay down. Ohh I see why. DNR intention is NOT to keep the population down if that was the case there be no more excuses for wildlife killing right?

Yeah, whatever. You want to know why they have doubled? More people have quit hunting. There are less hunters today than there were 15 years ago. I'm guessing you watched my video, Deer Hunting DECREASES Deer-Auto Collisions, and I can see that you don't understand. You were right at the beginning, about the rut being a cause in the accidents, but that's the only reason. I have never seen a deer run more than 50 yards if it was spooked by a gunshot, and I never will. I have shot with a herd of deer no more than 20 yrds from me, and none of them ran. So there goes your "theory" about my fellow hunters causing the accidents.

Did you know Fences will last 25 years and reduce DVA's up to 90% yet the hunting org. continue to negate it as well as the hunting public. The reason because they want the DVA's to continue then the fear to the public can give them excuses to keep killing innocent life

DVA's has gone up significantly in the last 30 years and NJ (big hunting state) is as high as ever.
