Problems with my Sharp Quattron LED HDTV

It takes forever for the screen to turn on. Also, when its on or off I hear static noises coming from behind the tv. I dunno if this is the TV it self or I have a defective one.

Yo dude! The boottime of your tv is standard on energy saving mode. You can turn this off in the menu. It's called fast booting or something like that. I have this tv too and i found it booting very slow too, so i read the manual en went through the menu and found this fast boot option. You can give it a try. About the static mine doesn't make that sound, so maybe you do have a defect in your tv, I don't know for sure. Have called Sharp service yet? Hope this comment helps..

I HAVE THE LC 40LE830U AND WILL BE TAKING IT BACK. THIS IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE TV. A BOX AND RABBIT EARS IS BETTER THAN THIS SHARP. TAKES A LONG TIME TO CHANGE CHANNELS.AND GUESS WHAT PEOPLE IT ISNT INTERNET ACCESS THEY CONTROL WHAT U WANT TO SEE ON THE INTERNET, AS IF I WAS IN CHINA!SHARP BASTARDS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY.GOOGLE SONY INTERNET TV IS REAL INTERNET.

After only 3 weeks my new QUATTRON LCL40830X displayed a blue vertical line from top to bottom and I am still waiting for the replacement panel after a month; nb: made in JAPAN.

SHARP stands for SHitArsePanels and non existing service.

@TheImmortalcode oh and yeah, i dont have any static, do you only get the static when your ps3 is on? it could be some kind of interference, I play my ps3 on my quattron all the time and dont get static, i used to get lines going through the picture on my older 720p 34 inch sony hdtv, with both 360 and ps3, dont have that problem with the sharp

I think your tv is acting normal, the only thing i noticed was that you had to press the power button a few times for it to respond, new batteries needed? This is normal for the tv, the only thing i noticed was that you pressed the power 3 times.

I have the 40 inch version of the LE820UN, I belive it is the exact same one you have. Mine takes less than 10 seconds to turn on when i wake up in the morning, the little sharp led turns on first, then the tv. If i turn the tv back on right after turning it off, it comes on right away. The other thing i noticed is that the backlight takes a few seconds longer to turn off than the tv sometimes. There isn't a damn thing wrong with my tv, and I suspect yours might be okay too.
