SoCal VoCals "Living For The City" @ 2010 ICCA West Semis

The SoCal VoCals, from the University of Southern California, performing Stevie Wonder's "Living For The City" at the Western Semifinals of the 2010 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, held at Bovard Auditorium on the campus of USC, March 20, 2010. The SoCal VoCals advanced to the Finals at New York City's Lincoln Center, where they were eventually named as the International Champions of the 2010 tournament. With their prior ICCA win in 2008, the VoCals became only the second two-time winner in the history of the ICCAs.

The soloist in this performance is Kenton Chen.

Another fabulous vocal performance from Kenton Chen and the VoCals...and don't overlook the contribution of Lili Fuller, choreographer!

This was a very good performance. As a Stevie Wonder fan, and as a person who has participated in ICCA, it seemed a little too much like a musical theater act (mostly because of Kenton's movement throughout the song). But the the actual music was tremendous. Theatrics along with excellent music is what wins ICCA, kudos to the SoCal VoCals.
