  • Reservoir aeration. Flood cycles, and Reservoir temps. Are all in order. Everything was looking good till roots started showing out the bottom of bucket.

  • @meeksite09 thank you for the comment. This could be a number of things. please call out office to discuss and get you no track. 216-360-8116

  • So now that the bottom of the buckets are slanted toward the drain now, is there any need to put pvc pipe chunks in the botttom now? Nothing should stay in the bottom now with the newer bucket design, correct?? Thanks

  • @UpstateHydro Thank you for the email. We have heard good things from growers about the new Ebb buckets with the Deluge, they actually didi this for that purpose or so we've been told. Do you still need the the pipes? probably not, but whats the downside? We are telling people to keep some buckets with them or without and see if they see a difference. Please let us know what you see.

  • @SureToGrowers Thanks for gett'n back! Sold alot of the Ebb & Grows lately out of the shop, just want to keep up to date with new techniques to pass on to the customers!!

  • @UpstateHydro We appreciate it. Another approach is to use our Hail mini cubes, our answer to hydroton. works great with the Ebb's and guys who use hydroton are really happy to with it, weighs nothing and no cleaning. Call me at my office I'll send you a samples bag to try. 216-360-8116 Cary.

  • I don't have any videos?

Mine were "melted" all the whole way through the cross section. I really wanted to love your product... it took about 5 min to install instead of 12 hours (literally) with Hydroton. I assumed it was glue because of the way the roots couldn't pass through the middle section. I will probably try the hail (although on a side by side comparative basis) because the alternative (hydroton) is such a pain. I will set it up in two different systems to account for flood freq

  • ahhhh this will help me very much! genius matt pure genius!

  • What if plants are still healthy. But roots are brown,&slimy. Will adding the PVC reverse roots and begin to grow healthy white ones.

  • @SureToGrowers You say it's non-wicking, but how well does it retain moisture? I really don't want something that will dry out so fast that I have to do more frequent floods.

  • @t04011984 You need to make sure that your controller bucket is on a level surface with your planter buckets. If it is, then make sure that your floats in the controller bucket is working. It is possible that your fill pump is not shutting off; causing a flood. Also another thing that can cause a flood is not having an anti-siphon hole in the fill hose inside the reservoir.

If all of the above is in check, then make sure you don't have a controller for the Ebb and Grow Monster system.

  • Every time my plants feed the water level gets a little too high and spills over the top of my pots. Anyone else withe this same issue? Please help! What should I do? Will that pvc pipe help prevent this issue?

  • what size air pump would you recommend for the 55 gallon reservoir?
