The first corps band of the salvation army was claimed and counter claimed for a number of years un till Sam Crothers band secretary. Appealed to Chief of staff Bramwell Booth to form a board of injury to confirm which band was the first corps band of the salvation army. The Board of injury quickly established and confirmed that consett Salvation Army Created the first corps band of the salvation army.
