it was originally known as the tri-cities. the 3 cities were davenport, rock island and moline. then it became the quad cities with east moline given equal status. BETTENDORF was the last city. the name was then going to be changed to the quint cities, but quad cities was too well known and so it remained. however some radio stations and news stations TRIED to get the quint cities name to catch on and called it that for awhile, but it never caught on.

UM...East Moline is NOT part of the Quad Cities (FOUR CITIES). LOL!

I was born in Peoria county IL, but pretty much grew up a majority of my life in the Quad Cities living in Moline, my school life was attending: Roosevelt Elem, Wilson Jr High, & lastly Moline Sr High school til i grad in 85', i have alot of memories growing up in and around the QC area.
I love the Quad Cities!!!!!!

I was born and raised in Moline.
Small-town feel, with unlimited possibilities.
Plus, we're midwestern, so it's not full of stuckup, big-city kindof people.
