2:44+ - My fave part, yet Andre somehow doesn't seem to emphasize it properly - the mysterious, middle-eastern influence here n all. Oh well. I heard my fave version of Un Sospiro when I heard it for the first time. (This happens a lot w/ me, esp. w/ Chopin songs - the 1st version I hear usually turns into my favorite version, which is quite curious.) Oh well, great playin there I guess.
That is a very interesting comment and made me think of my either "favorite" or "most loved" version in college, played by a dear friend at his senior recital. He also played Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude" for me at his home, several times and I always remember how my hair stood on end. It is hard for me to choose absolute favorites, but it is fun. Best wishes to you. C.
