All new DISH videos can be found at youtube.com/dishnetwork. On July 11, 2010 a solar eclipse occurred, but was not visible in our hemisphere. DISH Network customers were able to view the phenomenon on the TV company's exclusive DishEARTH channel. Want to see what they saw? Watch the clip.

  • Nice! I hope that next time we have a solar eclipse. I hope I could maybe go outside or watch it from my dad's room or see it on dish earth.

  • Note that you can also see the sun's reflection off the ocean north of the band of clouds northwest of South America.

  • I was there! You can see why this eclipse could only be seen from Pacific islands (I was on the little atoll of Hao) apart from the extreme tip of South America. And why there was some cloud (but we did see it).
