  • silencer dont work

  • @sergeant5027

Silencer works. Only measurement can give you a real indication (-30dB(A)), and not the sound record of a camera with automatic (sound) gain control...

  • I never think a silencer really that useful because you can hear a silenced pistol within 50 meters quite easily. To kill one without noticing by the other one 20m away? That's only happen in video game.

  • @Shelbywuyutong Obviously, you have not been exposed to "real life" situations. You might eventually hear the silenced gun, but it will be the more difficult, if not impossible, to locate the source and direction, giving an immediate tactical advantage. Some silenced guns are operated from distance well beyond 600m. From these distances you will only hear the supersonic crack from the bullet; but the latter will not locate the source, as you will hear this when the bullet is passing close.

  • @pimpinchaldo Hurr durr I love to get my shit mixed up.

Its name was rightfully "silencer," (as it was patented) which was MARKETED AS "suppressor." It`s the same as Coca-cola; it`s like you`re asking,"why is it called coca-cola when it doesn`t have any cocaine in it? Though, in a literal sense you are correct.

  • @potatoheadhaoy *Facepalm* just because it's Market name was Maxim Silencer doesn't mean it is... It's still a Suppressor -.-

If it was a true Silencer, when you shot it, it wouldn't make any noise whatsoever, which is impossible, hence why Silencers don't and never will exist.

  • @pimpinchaldo You`re one of those people who think they know everything...

The original "Maxim SILENCER" was...Well, named "silencer," and "suppressor" was simply a term that originated as marketing propaganda, but watever.

  • I like this weapon

  • ''Silencer dont work!''

    ''WHAAAT?!?''

  • It's a Suppressor, not a Silencer. There's no such thing as a Silencer.

  • Below is the video code for my video.

  • I run the YHM .308 can on mine and it works just fine. The larger caliber mitigates SOME of the gas blowback through the weapon, but not all of it. This is the video of my mg. It is no earplug safe with the YHM. It wears a custom shortened barrel and permanently non-adjustable gas block, topped with a Meprolight MEPRO21 tritium reflex optic. To date: the YHM stainless/inconel can has survived 30+ thousand rounds. ZLYt5S-28E0&

  • @Shelbywuyutong GOODYEAR1953's response to your ignorant comment was correct, but he left out the possibility of loading a subsonic round. Without the supersonic crack, the muzzle report is negligible, and the only identifying sound is the slide (or bolt) cycling. Hollywood has severely distorted the perception of the suppressed weapon, but "hollywood quiet" is possible with the proper load. Then again, there's only so much use for a subsonic round...

  • There goes his silencer
