I also said that I have no objections to controlled migration of Doctors, Scientists etc. These people earn a lot of money and their controlled migration would be unlikely to affect the wages in skilled or semi skilled areas of the economy. What we do not need is the importation of a large number of skilled and semi skilled workers, which is what we have had since 1973. It would help if the UK had a sound policy on immigration, simple or otherwise.

Well if the people who are citizens are not qualified for certain jobs then train 'em! What we have had in this country since the Windrush turned up and certainly since since 1973 is an open door policy on immigration. This policy has depressed the wages of most skilled and semi skilled jobs in Britain because foreigners can undercut British workers. It is one of the few policy areas that politicians will not discuss for fear of being branded a racist or having a pie thrown in their face!

densaner77- I absolutely agree, but its pointless trying to debate with these people because any dissent on their absurd views makes us hardcore racists. Immigration with limits is fine. As you correctly say, these clowns want unlimited immigration- which any sane and mature person would know is unworkable.
