Album : It's my life
Piste : 8
Année : 02.1984

Maybe when the heat's away you're fine
To put another drink away is out of line
It's so easy with a thief to blame for breaking every pledge I've made

Does it matter if I can't say Caroline knows ?

Every little accident takes time
Forget about mistakes I've made they're left behind, they're left behind
It's so easy with a thief to blame

  • this is such a great song. talk talk were easily one of the best bands that ever played and so greatly under-rated its a crime. they should definately reform.

  • Good stuff! I recall I only bought Natural History cos the one TT song I knew back then was on it, but after hearing it the 1st time I knew these guys were no mere one-hit wonders. Was also the first time I found out THEY were the ones who originally did Its My Life! After hearing that whore Stefani sing it thousands of times, hearing Hollis sing it, in that voice, the first time was indescribable...

  • @paullavan2011

I'm not a big fan of Country music, but the older Country genre was actually quite good. Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard. Give it a listen.

  • It's filler, but you know every band;no matter how evolved has filler.

  • Country music is a complete pile of shite - it always has been.

  • in my top 5 from the 80's for sure..2:18-2:33... bitchin!

  • every little accident takes time ... genius

  • kind of an 80's version of "Caroline Knows" by Beach Boys

  • @ChrisWalkenFan Also, I grew up in the US in a very religious conservative state. Those of us who liked this music were constantly being beat up for listening to weird music, for wearing weird clothes, and for having funny haircuts. There was only one radio station (at any one time) that played this music, while hundreds played rock and country. Most people in our state didn't even know this stuff existed, and hated those of us who did. People always hate what they don't understand. Sadly.

  • @ChrisWalkenFan I understand what you are saying, I hope this makes sense to you:

I was a teenager from 82-89, so music like Talk Talk is in my blood. But lots of music really sucked back in the 80s. Fortunately the bad stuff stopped getting played after a while, but the good stuff still gets played over and over again; nobody remembers the bad stuff, nobody forgets the good stuff.

You remember your last birthday, but probably not the day 17 days before your last birthday. It's like that.

  • @codern It's not always just little girls. When you in 12th grade here in Germany shortly before graduating there should be also some guys, grown up ones, and not such who still listen to teenage crap^^ ..I also know some of my parents age who can't cope with the fact that I knew more of the songs they grew up with as they knew. They just (still do) act like kids. I'm askin' myself is it all because of the music? Well let's skip this topic and let us concentrate on what great musicians TT were !

  • @ChrisWalkenFan well usually the people who disagree with you, are more prone and partial to listening to crap like justin bieber...in which case they are little girls whose opinions couldnt possibly have any less merit.
