  • The fact that "Mr. Guitar" recognized Mark's talent - and asked he occupy the same space as himself - IMO says all need be said about Mark Knopfler's incredible talent. The world is a better place because of Chet Atkins and Mark is among those few who have met Chet's level of expertise. God and Heavens Angels join us listening to Chet at this very minute.

  • I admit, that would have been QUITE AN HONOR to have Chet want to make a record with you. Mark was one of the favored few. I love Marks playing!

  • I think the name of the song is "I Still Can't Say Goodbye". The studio versian is on Chet Atkins C.G.P. a great album.

  • I've posted it already. A search will turn it up.

  • George Bush can't pick his nose! Chet didn't worry nearly as much about his looks as you seem to be. He was too busy being the world's best.Since he died, the guy next to him probably is the best. Most folks would agree. You ought to enjoy the music.

  • @guitarstudent101 At first glance... But Chet has smart and kind eyes. Unlike Mr. George Bush!

  • Muito Bom!!!

  • Chet looks like George Bush

  • I wish the Grateful Dead with Jerry Garcia had had a chance to do this song too

  • @TheCypruss pat metheny is amazing

  • Thanks very much

  • @dygnus yes you do. . .paul franklin plays steel guitar, pedabro and dobro on the neck & neck cd. you also hear vince gill doing backing vocals, and floyd cramer's piano on sweet dreams :)

  • has been one of my fave songs for 20+ years and still is :)

  • Back in the "Sultans of Swing" days Mark was laying bare his influence. Maybe Jorgenson has taken it to another level (awesome...check out the Hellecasters!)...Knopfler still hangs on to his muse I think. Anyway I love all guitar people players..Beck is a one off as is Santana. Zappa was unique. But they're only the guys that have albums out......yay the shy bedroom maestro...YT makes it possible

  • Wow Daffydoug this is fantastic love this music thanx
