Doris recorded Sleepy Lagoon on June 6, 1967 for
her Love album. The recordings were lost - found
by her son Terry and released in 1993.

The talent of this lovely lady just mutes me; there simply are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe accurately what a phenomena she and her voice are.......this track is audible proof of what perfection she exuded . Her voice at her very last recording session was just as stimulating, haunting, and sensuous as her very first. Indescribably awesome!! Thank you Toni.

@dayfan1962 It is really amazing ... she really knows how to get to the heart of a song and lay it all out there. Isn't it unbelievable that this was her last album ? Thank goodness she did this on her own after her Columbia contract ended... and thank goodnes Terry found it in her garage !! Unbelievable ! It is truely a wonderful album. I wish they would have let Doris do it "her way" more than she was allowed to ! My other favorite is Faded Summer Love. Thank you !!
