糟糠情（宋弘拒婚）

This is one of my favorite Teochew Opera production in 1993 which kept me really entertained as a kid then. The production then was so much more elaborated.

西汉末年，刘秀与姐湖阳公主，征讨王莽，误中圈套， 驸马战死。 村姑郑三姐送饭， 并引路突围， 湖阳公主姐弟感恩， 以剑穗赠三姐。 刘秀登基， 湖阳公主欲招大司空宋弘为驸马， 怎料宋弘夫妻糟糠情深， 再三相拒。郭皇后姐弟从中作梗，私遣宋夫人回乡，中途被马忠所救。刘秀金殿下旨完婚，宋弘再次拒婚并骂刘秀不义。 汉王大怒，立斩宋弘。 宋夫人惊闻恶讯，立刻与马忠将军赶往法场，见宋弘最后一面。

@laikianong I recorded this production from video tape. Unfortunately, I have no idea whether this show is being sold online, otherwise I would have given you the link. But I do know that the VCD version is available in Thailand, released by APS.
