Whale watchers on Monterey Bay, California encounter a friendly humback whale who spends hours with the whale watch boat. The whale rolls and looks and then extends its pectoral fin to the people. This video is part of a BlueVoice.org effort to stopJapan's hunting of humpback whales.

  • wow, that was great footage. Question: Did the whale approach the boat, or did the boat approach the whale?

  • The whale approached the boat. We finally had to leave, the whale wanted to hang around with us.
