We had a chance to witness perhaps the greatest era for centers in NBA history in Ewing, Olajuwon, Robinson and O'Neal. We had a chance to witness the tenacity and resiliance of a player like John Stockton. The brashness and sheer joy that was Charles Barkley. The dramatic exploits of Reggie Miller. The brilliance of Magic, Michael and Larry. And yes, the intense force of nature that was Karl Malone.

i absolutely love john stockton... he's my favorite ever (besides michael...). back in the 90s when i was totally obsessed, i wrote his dad at the bar he owns in spokane, to please send me an autographed picture- and he did! dedication with a touch of creepiness... i'm not ashamed.

He look like a regular guy, he talks like a regular guy, he has the body of a regular guy yet a man that never dunked a basketball in an NBA game has more assists and steals than any man that ever played in the national basketball association.
In every city in every country there is someone if not many people that can jump higher, run faster, even shoot better than John Stockton ever did. Those guys worship players like Iverson instead of Stockton and that is why they'll never make it.
