OUHEN No. 03 - Oak Hotel

"OUHEN" (往返/おうへん), is a short series documenting a trip to Japan I took between August 11th to August 19th, 2007. In only a short week, I met many people, took many risks, and found myself in many problems I hadn't foreseen or planned for. On this episode...

I finally arrive in a hotel, and only a few minutes later am back in front of the camera. I attempt to recycle what has happened during my first day in Japan, only to realize how exhausted I've become.

Perfect example of why Americans are hated everywhere!

I can't say I understand how an intentionally uninformed and misguided tour around a nation that at times can be the polar opposite on everything from sociocultural boundaries, to their taste pallets, is an example of why "Americans" are hated everywhere.

I respect your ability to keep that mindset, but would wish that you could take the time to realize that I was speaking very candidly to the camera, and was not trying to produce something that would entertain such close-minded thoughts.

hahaha.... i did the same in those bathrooms. damn those weirdo taps!!! had to totally move the lil leaver to the other side to get water comin outta the shower head...! grr

I'm sure instructions were posted somewhere in the bathroom, I just never took the time to look. The contraption makes perfect sense -- only after it's ruined one of your towels, :).

ok my bad, sorry! I overreacted, put in the context you mentioned above i realise that your video was actually quite de3scribing. At first glimpse I thought you were just mocking the hotelroom. :D

I also lived at the same hotel and i liked the stay there very much.
