Here's playing the Devil's Advocate. Assume for a moment that the comment about taking a Muslim's home was just a joke, or excuse it as a reaction to the hatred towards the settlers. Just for the sake of argument.
What is left is a guy who wants to live in a particular place and is not harming anyone. If the Palestinians had a normal relationship with Jews, the latter would just buy all the homes they wanted in the West Bank, and live quietly in religious ecstasy.
