This is the last 15 minutes of Caprica, the show was cut off way too soon, I think it could have delivered so much more if it was given more time...

I added the song at the credits. That is not the original song, I personally think it is better suited for the end.

  • (Sigh) Another great show cut down just as it was about to enter it's prime, a brilliant story, brilliant actors and a brilliant show.

  • @MusiqheadRadio Well lets just hope the new series will be better. Chrome & Blood.

  • @scarred2112 good eye

  • Is it me, or is the Director that Daniel punches and ties up at the beginning the same actor that played Specialist Gage, aka 1/2 of Ron Moore's "Yee-Hah Boys" from the Pegasus & Mutiny arcs that gave Helo a beatdown on several occasions?

  • @Jack101f Yes. This is what defines us as a species: cutting off and shutting down creative power, because oftentimes those controlling the purse strings would have to work twice as much to be half as good as those who create. Theirin lies jealousy;the industry will forever value money over creativity any day. Look at the hundreds and hundreds of films SYFY has made that each centre around an enlarged insect, mammal or reptile. These films suck beyond all time but they make money. fukheds.

  • @Ryagful Agree.

It's just that BSG/Caprica, BSG had less cgi, and this difference makes me say that Caprica had too much of it. Caprica's intro, no matter how beautiful it is, is a bit uncomfortable.

But as I already said, it's my personal opinion.

  • well for that matter, the first 3 STAR WARS movies had no CGI, or at least extremely limited as i recall, but look how it turned out. its ships, planets, species...all were gorgeous, and nothing but real settings ans props. just....amazingly realistic. but most shows, including Stargate, Farscape, Firefly and Dr Who used CGI to grate effect and its quite realistic. point is, you have to use it right. there's a right time, a right way and its all dependent your story. bad story makes CGI obvious

  • @Ryagful Well, they have metallic whatever... and organic real bodies but hey, I said that I haven't seen ALL Caprica. Now I see they had something between those 2.

For the CGI : Yes it can make a show better when it's good and justified, never said anything bad about BSG, i wouldn't dare. I just prefer when there are real setting (you can compare BSG to Sanctuary, it's pretty obvious). Actually I'd rather see close ups and not a lot of different places than a very apparent CGI.

  • how did you thought they never had human shaped bodies? they always had human shaped bodies, only Zoe had a suit of plastic or some-sort to cover hers. CGI can make a show or movie better. take BSG. most of the series is CGI, and godsdamn is it cool! however yeah, a lot of films just use CGI to hide its shitty story (im looking at you Avatar!). just keep in mind that CGI is just a tool. if its used it with propel story and acting, its a good tool. if not, you get Avatar.

  • @Ryagful Now I get the "human shaped but not organic" bodies, I just thought that they never had a human shape because the humans never assumed that the cylons can just look like humans.

For the CGI, it's a plague in movies and TV Show (but I do think that it's a great tachnology advance). My personal opinion. Because I focus on it, and on the fact that it's not real. And it also gives me a headache. And in a lot of films (not Caprica), the effects are hiding a lack of senario.

  • what's that song name that plays at the end credits its really epic.

  • they had roughly human shaped bodies from the start. from that to an organic being able to reproduce with humans is a VERY long way. how is this a problem? and i love CGI.
