This is a tune up vid for the eflite blade msr. This goes over common problems to get the highest performance out of this little heli. It goes over using the red calibration tool for the swash plate, bent blade grips, play in the main gear and or main shaft, blade tracking, bent tail rotors, bad battery connections and a few extra tips here and there. Thanks for watching and hope this helps you out!

  • Why did you have two battery leads on your MSR ?

  • @sbs9026 Sometimes I run 2 Hyperion 160mah batteries for indoor cruising. I use the sukhoi xp motor and it's a bit powerful for indoors, the extra lipo weight tones it down, makes it more stable and I get flight times around 12 minutes.

  • Great info. but a little out of focus, hard to see exactly what your doing.

  • @msbcrr Sorry about the focus problem, it's a flip cam with no focus button. I hate the camera, my wife just had to have it though LOL!

  • How hard is it to install the sukhoi motor? Is it really worth it?

  • @ilan354 The sukhoi xp motor adds around 10 grams of thrust, about the same as most brushless conversions which are more costly and complex. The drawback is about 30-60 seconds less flight time so I recommend Hyperion or Thunder Power lipos for this motor. The gear mesh is little tight at first. Take some fine sandpaper and run it between the main gear teeth and use a file to reduce the pinion gear diameter while the motor is running. Run the motor for a few mins and the gear mesh shoud be fine.

  • I'd say tightin the blades a bit more. Just enough they don't flIop.. If they are to lose the blades will flutter and be off track.. If you tighten then to much it will just toilet bowl and crash..

  • I bought one ...you said that you will change the motor on the back after a crash ...why?

  • nice general maintenance course!

  • Excellent video -- I took my brother's MSR when he 'upgraded' to an MSR X. Unfortunately, I couldn't fly it very well. I found this video and went through the entire thing and checked everything mentioned. I found the main rotor wasn't tight and the tail rotor was bent. I fixed those issues. There were a few other small adjustments from the video as well. I wish I could say I fixed everything, but I must have missed something. I'm getting a counter-clockwise spin when I try to fly it.

  • Thank you for this.I learned a lot. peace bro

  • Thanks for sharing this info..Nice Video! Is it possible for you to make a vid on the correct way to Trim this Heli....I totally understand the concept of Trim with the MSR....however,for some damn reason this MSR I can't seem to ever get it correct..then when I finally get it setup nice, seems like the next time I switch to a fully charged battery, the trim wasn't where I had it set Errr!! frustrating!

  • Great video, it's my new maint schedule.
