It is always fun to stop in the west coast seaside village of Lahinch, where third-generation owner Tom Frawley pours the best pint of Guinness in Ireland in his tiny pub. Frawley, the oldest publican in the country, will soon be 90-years young and is open each day of the year from 11 a.m. - 1 a.m., except Christmas and Good Friday. He poured his first beer in the place when he was 9 years old. A classic place to spend the afternoon.

  • That's wonderful. Glad you did that. Is he doing better?

  • My wife & I were in Lahinch in May & stopped in for a pint. The place is incredibly small & cozy. We were the only customers in the place, just us, Tom & one local gent. It was dead silent in there & Tom looked a bit under the weather, but it was still an honor to be served a pint by the one and only Tom Frawley.

  • Usually Tom is quick with the conversation. And even not feeling great, I suspect he still poured the best Guinness you had that trip. It's a wonderful place to visit.

  • So nice that you were able to show that to him. We certainly hope he can pour us another drink when we return to Lahinch. Thanks for showing him the video, and we are pleased that he enjoyed watching it as well.

  • I was telling Tom about the film and he was pleased when I told him what a nice job you did. Putting in the parting glass background was a lovely touch. He may be at my house for dinner on Good Friday, if he is I will show it to him.

    Best wishes

  • Thanks for doing that. He seems like a great person.

  • If its OK with you I am going to post this again on Toms FB page

Youtube will not let me post a link so look up Tom-Frawleys Pub Lahinch

  • Made me realise how lucky we are to still see Tom going about his business , he is a treasure

  • Was just there June 2010. Tom is still going strong pouring pints at midnight! Poured me a double of Jameson. Both shots to the exact top of the jigger and not a drop spilled. Saw him the following day having an ice cream cone on the chair out front of his pub and soaking up the sun. Go Tom Go!!

  • Was there for my stag - lovely guy - great place. We borrowed his sign, with his permission, for a pic outside "No Stag Parties Allowed". Thankfully, we were an Irish stag party so just a long drinking session rather than an English trash group

  • vn video, for some reason i found it very emotional - probably the music - very nice job, looks like a lovely place

  • fair play........has to be the nicest pub i was ever in.....lovely chat and drink.....god bless ya tom.....if a lot of publicans could realise ya dont need loud music or televisions to get the crowd.......
