Patrice is totally right through this whole thing. There is just bad communication going on. It goes back to his core principles he always talks about, meaning you don't have a right to not be offended. He is asking a question with 2 options.
1. Do gays want equal rights?
2. Do gays want society to completely accept them as an appropriate lifestyle? (Much like how schools accept teaching both creation and evolution as valid methods)
Even if offensive, people have a right to not approve of w/e.

@Archetype77 yes, they more than likely are like most, fetishes for lack of a better term. Not only hurting children it stunts emotional growth, trust...They haven't the faculties to cope sex for most people is disturbing the first time for 17+ year olds. I couldn't begin to fathom the way the pshyce trys to make sence of that in a child's mind with their limited understanding of life, that innocence is something we as adults pine for, we need it to stay as long as it can preserved

Its imperative these rights issues focus on legal equality. The second people start moving for acceptance you are telling people what to believe in. The problem is everybody wants to be a victim and nobody wants to feel like people don't like them. Somebody is always not going to like you. There is no right against that.

Patrice didn't put it together well like he usually does but he is basically relating all that to his own examples like:
Someone might only be sexually attracted to S&M or choking people but they don't need people on a massive sociological level to accept it. It should be a non-issue hence the "i don't give a damn" attitude. Give everybody all the legal rights and make the moral acceptance up to individuals according to their creed. Tolerance is the law's job. Acceptance is individual choice.
