Reuben's Senior Varsity (Polk Allegiance League) football team, the Lakeland Storm, coached by club President, Javier Moody hosted the Auburndale Bulls on 9-11-10. On 8-21-10, Storm played a 0-0 tie vs their rivals the Lakeland Destroyers in the Kickoff Classic which replaced the traditional jamboree. Next on 8-28-10, the Lakeland Red Devils were to host the Storm but their club couldn't field a Senior team and forfeited the game. Since then the Storm have improved to 6-1 on 2010 season.

Lakeland Storm played the Lakeland Destroyers at Lakeland High School for their Homecoming. It was billed as the biggest game of the season as both Sr Varsity squads came in the last 2 undefeated teams in the conference. Several athletes and coaches on the Destroyers were with the Storm team last year and turned the Destroyers from one of the worst to one of the best in PAL. The Storm after initially forcing a fumble on 1st series played the game flat. Destroyers were up 20-0 at halftime following 1 offensive TD + conversion (8-0) and 2 fumble recoveries.Unfortunately victory was not to be the Storm's this weekend, marking the 1st time in 2 years the Storm have lost a game. However, fans of both are certain both teams will meet again in the playoffs as the Storm attempt to repeat as PAL SuperBowl champions as they did in 2009.

The Storm varsity have averaged 31 pts/game this regular season (out of 186 total) & held opponent(s) to a total of 42 points. [Lakeland Red Devils-Forfeit; 36-0 vs Plant City Eagles; 24-0 vs Auburndale Bulls; 28-0 vs Dundee Hornets; 48-22 vs LKlnd Hurricanes; 50-0 vs Lake Wales Gators; Lost 20-0 vs Lakeland Destroyers]. Reuben is a starting Wide Receiver/Tight End on offense, starting Defensive End, and is also on the kickoff coverage unit. (In Little League football, a pass or run into the endzone following a TD counts for a 2-point conversion; a field goal following a TD counts as an extra point).
