This is a brief video I made demonstrating how to make a custom leather holster. There are a LOT of steps to building a holster. Some may do it "this" or "that" way, but my hope is that this video will be of benefit to those whom are exactly where I was just a few months ago - searching for videos of how this stuff is done. I hope you enjoy. My tools are cheap, my knives are dull, but in the end - I'm proud to stick my gun in this holster! Feel free to visit my site at www.adamsleatherworks.com for more photos of some of the holsters I've made. I'll be adding more photos and videos in the near future.

  • Is there an advantage to using the airbrush over cotton swabs?

  • @pastthebrink The airbrush will give smoother coverage, and you can regulate the intensity of the color by spraying more or heavier coats. The swabs will dump on a whole lot of color, making it next to impossible to achieve lighter coloring.

  • @particlerealities how much are the airbrushes and how would I go about buying one

  • @CharlesWilliamOwens5 You can get airbrushes for very cheap, and very expensive, and anywhere in between. If you have a hobby shop close by, swing by and check them out. You can also order them online. Some people are very happy with the really cheap kits you can buy from places like Harbor Freight. Mine is a Badger 150 that I've had since maybe 1995.

  • Could you please tell me what brand and where did u get the spray-gun, I'm having a hard time finding a small one like that...Excellent video and beautiful holster, I havent tried to make one but I do work with leather sometimes as a hobby..thanks...

  • @alexcubanplayer Hi there - my airbrush is a Badger 150. I purchased it in the mid 90's from the hobby store, and it's still going strong!

  • @Marc329 Thanks! It's a Tippmann Boss, available from tippmannindustrial.

  • Hi,

Nice work. Can you tell me what kind of sewing machine you are using and where you got it?

    Thanks.

  • @hedgehog23 The dyes are Fiebing's Pro Oil dyes, and the colors are Light Brown (possibly Saddle Tan, but more likely it was Light Brown) with Black accent.

  • Great thanks for the response. The Colour scheme on this holster is great, mind sharing the product and colours?
