I am also from Shetland and this clip is actually P&O’s Pacific Sun cruise liner when she was hit with huge waves about 650 kilometres off the coast of New Zealand in July 2008. Never let the truth spoil a good lie though if you want to believe it's Northlink feel free.

Hi I live in Shetland and this was actually taken from a cruise ship as it was leaving shetland. it had just past sandwick and was heading towards the Sumburgh Roost. Normally its not that bad but throught that week we had been having strong winds and this shows just how bad a mild wind can be on the shetland rock.

This is n't either of the Shetland ferries. Been on both a few times and they look nowt like this. Have seen this clip elsewhere described as cruise ship, with differner music.

I'm from Shetland and can tell you that this ISN'T a Shetland boat. Why?.
Because EVERYTHING on our Shetland ferries is bolted to the floor so it can't move.....!!.
