This year's National Geographic focuses on Mogadishu and an individual Somali youth who takes up fishing to feed his family instead of joining a militia for plunder and extortion after concluding rightfully so that sooner or later most of his friends making the other choice wind up dead. In your passion to blame capitalism for ruining Somali waters, (also global warming, bad sex , the Palin autobiography and reactionary radio) and you are wrong there.

Who blamed capitalism? Saying you can see why people become pirates dosnt make you a "commie". There's a good documentary called 'Ross Kemp - In search of Pirates', you should torrent. It about one of the port towns in Somalia. If I was living in a shanty town and there was a quick way to make tens of thousands of dollars then id do it. And please dont reply with ant of those pre prepared Bill O Reily statements about why dont they just go out and get a job, thats 'liberal propaganda'. etc etc

What I'm trying to say is NOT the cute one liners of O'Reilly but the plain truth that barter and small economics still works and young men who are attracted by easy money easily jeapordize their lives, as the pirates are already beginning to find out- whether in Somali waters or near Singapore.
