Jets vs Phantoms 3rd Goal

Here's the goal that ended the Slough Jets season and sent the Peterborough Phantoms to Coventry. 0-2 going into overtime means it's 4-4 on aggregate, 4 on 4 sudden death overtime needed to decide the winner. Watch how Lelenas gets the puck from his tangle with Andy Murnoe to be able to get up and feed Carlon to score the goal. The replay clearly shows the facts.

Having checked the rules, it would appear that this is entirely legal in terms of it not being a pass to another player and therefore the goal was legal - so no case to answer....apart from the fact that we actually won in regulation time if you discount Sluff''s illegal goal on Saturday!

@aj2wilson You are correct that there is no hand pass however how does the puck get from one side of Andy Munroe to the other? In order for Lelenas to pick it up, carry it over our player and then throw it back on the ice to pass it to Carlon he had to close his hand on the puck, a delay of the game. If not called immediately it should have been called when Peterborough had control and no goal should have been scored.

And, irrespective of any goal on Saturday it wasn't scored in sudden death

Like i said AJ show us the footage. As for saturday im sure we could rip that game to pieces if you really wanna break it down, The whole game was a sham from start to finish some of the worst line calls and reffing i have ever seen. so sit there and say all you like that were quits but the Jets have there evidence to back it up and where is yours??? id laugh at anyone who said thompson reffed the game fairly with a combine PIM of 14-38 in favour of phantoms over the weekend.

You miss the point - the game wouldn't have gone to sudden death if the illegal goal on Sat had been washed out! Note - didn't have to close hand to pick up puck - perfectly possible to do so without closing - can't tell from this whether he did or not - even after enlarging it as far as my screen will go. Not sure what game Invincible was watching on Saturday to miss teh too many men - mind you, was probably used to it by then as it happened at least 3 times!

Jets can prove what happened on sunday. show us your footage of to many men on the ice from saturday then?? i was sitting next to the Jets bench and from where i was sitting there was nothing wrong with the line change!!!! but then you say im proberbly bias as a Jets fan so what about the 2 linesman also there??
