This is my video footage of my visit to the Peterborough Model Railway Exhibition 2010 and the video is split into four parts to ease viewing for those that do not have 50mins or so of time free to watch the video in one clip. The event was held on the 16th and 17th of October 2010 and I attended the event on the 16th and this is part one of the video.

Summary:
This part of the video starts off with a small OO gauge elevator train which run parallel up and down a steep embankment. In this part of the video I have taken some stills of the new proposed Bachmann OO and N gauge range of products that are planned to be released in the future which includes a couple of shots of the new Freightliner Class 70 locomotive pre-production model which most of the technology comes from the Bombardier German Blue Tiger locomotive. Also there is the new STVA car loader wagons and also the new JPA cement wagons as well of other rolling stock like the new MPV tamping machine. The layouts featured in this video are "Cornwallis Yard" in EM (OO) gauge, "Little Cussin" and "Daleside Parkway" in N gauge.

Cornwallis Yard:
This is an EM gauge layout modelled exactly to 1:76th scale based on a small dockland town with an industrial yard that has a moderate amount of freight set in 1935 with the trains operated by GWR (Great Western Railway) using Pannier Locomotives.

Little Cussin:
This is an N gauge scale steam era based layout that is based on the Settle & Carlisle Line set towards the settle end of the line. The rolling stock used comprises of the British Railways steam locomotives like the Black 5, 9F, 5MT, 2MT Ivatt, and other steam engines.

Daleside Parkway:
This is a Modern Image N Scale layout based on traction in service from the late 1990's to the present day featuring passenger trains like the Class 43 HST Intercity 125 in both Intercity and Virgin Trains liveries, Class 220 and 221 Voyager trains in Cross Country and Virgin Trains liveries and the Loco-Hauled trains are worked by Class 47's, 90's and 86's. Freight and parcel trains are worked by various locomotives like the Class 60, Class 47, Class 37, Class 66, Class 58, Class 90, Class 67 and Class 86 in various liveries. 60081 and 60006 can also be seen running on this layout too.

  • Are N Scale And OO Scale The Same??

  • @ThePborodan: No mate. N gauge is about half the same of OO gauge trains. Very useful if you are restricted on space.

  • Superb, What scale is Daleside Parkway?

  • @heavyhaulage1: Its N scale mate.

  • Good show, like the two tier display, think I SHALL HAVE TO CONSIDER SOMETHING ON THOSE LINES!!, Long rake on those goods trains.

  • @howarth004: I am really impressed with the amount of detail that has been done to Daleside Parkway as considering its in N gauge. The detail is among the best I have seen.
