@VmxProStand Don't give my dad to much credit!

I started racing in 1974 when I was 12 on a Kawasaki GS 100. In 1972 dad was still racing his bultaco before moving to his CZ and later to his Husky. Thanks for sharing. Going to a District 36 race tomorrow.

The good old days when there were forty racers at Granite Hills High School. A mix of Moto-x and Desert. Mike Sterns dominated both the Desert, and Moto-x at Four Corners in Barona. Plus Murray Hoffman, Don Vesco's talented rider who was magic to watch out at Dehesa Raceway. The first night racing at Brown's Field in Southbay, and the USGP at Calsbad.
No better time to be growing up in San Diego, so many great friends who all enjoyed the sport and comradery it provided!

Oh how I remember those days...
My dad stripped down a Honda SL 125 and I was in business... POOF, I was an overnight MX junkie!

@SensibleMath
I think so, but it's been too long so I'm not sure.
