  • i think it comes down to personal preference when it comes to music. its quite common now to discredit the sexpistols of having any impact, even though great punk bands like the clash point to them as an inspiration. some people can listen to the pistols and just cant figure why they were so pivotal to punk. you've got to really listen to the lyrics in some of their stuff. im not trying to say they were more or less important. i'm just saying i love them both... sorry for the ramble

  • @jrsone2 Yo! Saw Mikey supporting the Clash in 1980 at Leeds University! Best gig ever! He tore the fucking roof off!

  • Dang!!!!! Tempus Est Iocundum!!!!!

  • Mikey Dread was seriously rapping! reggae+rap+ clash= good shit.

  • thanks for posting

  • @calboy64 I agree wholeheartedly. The Clash were and are still the only band that EVER mattered. The Pistols were a silly little joke band who meant nothing to me. I have never felt compelled to ever buy "Never Mind the Bollocks". In fact, I don't think I've ever heard it the whole way through. The Clash had everything....great musicians, a fucking cool look and pertinent politically charged songs. I was fortunate to meet Joe on several occasions.A great man and my ALL time hero! I miss him!

  • @davymgaunt i also saw them on the same tour in glasgow,,,and it was the best gig ive seen,,,they played even louder than normaly...and normaly was very loud,,,this was when they really where the best band in the world,,but the world still did nt know
