My opinion. If you don't agree, shutup. HERE ARE THE GAMES ----------------
10. EarthBound (Nintendo, 1995/SNES)
Not many people played EarthBound, but it was an awesome RPG with a lot of depth and humor
9. Metal Gear Solid (Konami, 1998/PSX)
The 1st game in what is probably the best series in gaming history - MGS was very innovative with it's cinematic cutscenes and deep stealth gameplay
8. Super Castlevania IV (Konami, 1991/SNES)
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The Castlevania formula remains intact in it's 1st installment and it's better than ever before
7. Super Mario 64 (Nintendo, 1996/N64)
There were a few 3D games before Mario, but Mario was the 1st one to really nail it. Several years afterwards, most platformers use the same control scheme and design as SM64 - it's that great
6. Donkey Kong Country (Rare, 1994/SNES)
When everyone thought the Genesis had won, Rare came out with a brilliant action game with breathtaking visuals and it didn't require a CD or 32x
5. Quake III Arena (id Software, 1999/PC)
Quake 3 is just straight up FUN. There are tons of maps, models and weapons you can download and even make to extend the replay value of this already great game
4. Super Mario World (Nintendo, 1991/SNES)
SMB3 was really good but SMW took the formula and enhanced it - a lot. SMW introduced Yoshi, one of the most famous game characters to date
3. Quake (id Software, 1996/PC)
When we all thought it couldn't get any better than Doom, id Software gave us Quake - an insanely fun FPS with freaky monsters and a great atmosphere. Like Q3A, you could spend ages playing mods
2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo, 1998/N64)
Mario had a great transition to 3D, but Zelda was even better. It introduced many mechanics that are still used in many games today. Not to mention it's the highest rated game of all time
1. Doom (id Software, 1993/PC)
Games just aren't as badass as Doom was back in the day. It was 3D - well not really, but still. It had amazing level design, great variety in enemies and one of the best OSTs EVER! Doom still remains fun today, and without it we wouldn't be playing CoD, GeoW or Halo.
the 90s had the best adventure games and not a single adventure game?

@ClevelandFreeRide I only put games I HAVE PLAYED. I've never played RE2 of FF7. It's called NERD2MAX'S Top 10 games of the 90s for a reason, because they're MY FAVORITES
