I love this song and the lyrics so much, too. I have read, that Bruce wrote the song text inspired by and old testament text. But I am not sure.

@LucicPower i really hope you're trying to be ironic here. because 20 years ago janick was in iron maiden and had already released an album with them the year before. perhaps you hadnt realized that. 21 years in a band is not a johnny come lately. 8 albums with them. for the record, maiden were an established act before bruce joined as well with 2 albums already. is bruce riding the coattails of paul di'anno? janick is a member and has been for a long time. think before you spout nonsense

@Colasaw you do not own their albums, do you? sure, these songs aren't bad, but except Powerslave these songs are by far not their best songs (in my opinion). what about Hallowed, Alexander, Blood Brothers, Dance of Death - just to name a few...

the songs you mentioned are (imo) just the most popular ones, but not the ones that show maidens whole skills/potential
