Love it! Honest and energetic playing that's easy to relate to.

To all the haters: Please check Philip's guitar work from today (this is about 5+ years old?). He has slowed down his phrasing a lot. I love his InYourFace attitude here, but do prefer his more "controlled" approach that he's been using for the last couple of years.

@buddastrat I love Django, Hendrix, and Beck! I understand what you are saying any two cent asshole can get up there and solo over a I-IV-V, I get sick of hearing people talk shit about good rock music and the people playing it. He is out there gigging playing for crowds. You are hilarious, I was talking to a different asshole to begin with, once again go masturbate to yngwie and leave these videos.

@willeng84 ..if you think this playing is so great, that says all I need to know. Oh yeah, don't care Vai either. Gimme some Django, Hendrix or Beck! Style and no SOS wankin'. Go ride yer moped, fan boy.

@stratthead Yeah right, your so good you can sit here and call anything blues rock or penatonic wanking! You my friend are an uneducated JOKE! Yeah you can find that at guitar center, that being someone like me thats a whole hell of a lot better than you at guitar.... Sooo whats a loser to do,,, oh yeah come home and rag on these players while you masterbate to Vai and Yngwie. You should stay in the 80's where you belong!!!!!!!

I can understand where you're coming from, but that's still somewhat naive. If Buddy Guy played ridiculously fast, you'd call that 'blues'. I would hardly call it mindless playing.

@wish4rain
he is still playing the blues but has replaced the F# with F natural, and he is using D# as well instead of D natural. This gives a sorta Spanish Phrygian feel..
