@TilveranNavarre i would have said that as well and thought the same however I am quite sure the machine will be under heavy surveillance in a secured facility. Otherwise you would certainly have people shaking the machine, banging it for the stuck gold bar, or just breaking the glass and stealing it.
@daderone Scams can work both ways, too. These machines take notes... how easy is it to fool the machine? Maybe someone will try feeding it fake notes for real gold... although the irony would be if they got fake gold for their fake notes; then everyone would be feeling stupid ;)
A gold dispenser is a pretty serious machine though, so I expect the maker will have thought things through on their end with respect to a security policy. Buyer beware though eh?
@TilveranNavarre i didn't even think of that. lol. not exactely a bag of chips or can of soda. and it could be I'm just asking because its pretty important. 24k is solid gold and sometimes people market 24k gold plated as solid gold when thats obviously deceiving. Almost anything u get plated is going to be 24k but its about as much real 'solid gold' as there is plastic around a pack of ciggs. So many people get scammed with this stuff its not funny.
@daderone Or not even that! If it's like a regular vending machine, the bar'll get stuck dispensing and the machine'll need beating up before it coughs up the goods... which like you say, might just be fool's gold, tungsten, or even chocolate! :D
@daderone Assuming they're the usual small bullion bars that can be bought over the counter, I'd expect 99.9% or 99.99% purity. So, the full 24 carats.
Need these for silver too. More people would become interested in precious metals & investing in them.
