  • I'm not seeking any arguments or fight. I just want to clarify any misconceptions that you have of the Catholic Church.

May God be with you +

"There are not more than 100 people in the world who truly hate the Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they perceive to be the Catholic Church." - Bishop Fulton Sheen

  • @lucy9359 I think this comment is taking too long, so I'll just end with this.

The Catholic Church, has four characteristics:

"ONE Christ's body is one, and all who are united to him are one

HOLY set apart, separated from the world, and sin. Sanctified by his blood.

catholic - universal, that which appears everywhere

and Apostolic- for the continuous succession of apostles

  • all the comments i just saw were people arguing what is this... we are called to act with justice

  • :D i love when people argue about dumb stuff on youtube

  • @lucy9359 this is in reply to your comment on my previous post. :)

  • @lucy9359 So,not finding a phrase that says we should be "catholic" is a weak argument. You, yourself said, that we should be born again; so I think it is safe to assume that you don't know the theology behind the Sacrament of Baptism- which is by baptism we are born again, we are cleansed and we receive the Holy Spirit.

  • @lucy9359 So isn't it illogical if we hold the Word of GOD with so much love and honor (that It deserves), yet, fail to recognize his living presence in the Holy Eucharist and guidance through the Church?

Third, the problem with the Protestant ideology of interpreting the Bible, is that each of us has different interpretations of any single word or phrase (something which is apparent considering the 30,000 plus Protestant denominations).

  • @lucy9359 As you can also notice in my previous comment, it is not just Sacred Tradition but Sacred Tradition, Sacred Scripture AND the Holy Spirit which guides the Church.

Second, if we'll look at the history of Christianity, we can see that it is the Fathers of the early church (Catholics) with the guidance of the Holy Spirit who compiled the Bible.

  • @lucy9359 First of all, what I referred to as Sacred Tradition is not a tradition of men as you say. It is, as its name suggests, Sacred; because that Tradition was passed down from Jesus, to His apostles, and to the continuous line of Popes and Bishops who are entrusted by God to take care of His Church on earth.

  • no one is perfect like you said so no one is going to have a perfect interpretation of the bible but I am a spirit filled blood washed born again believer Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and follow me...I am thankful to have met you ok your the first Catholic I ever met that new what the bible even says...I have read mine for 21 years I live by it as much as I know how to according to my faith...
