  • Beautiful car with a cavernous back seat. When you were driving your honey to the Bijou theatre, then on the way back, you could...well never mind.

  • @starladear002 Thanks for checking it out!

  • I used to have a '46 Windsor business coupe.

One thing which always impressed me was how the speedometer changed colors at night. It was green until 50mph when it would turn yellow. Above 65 the speedo; numerals and needle would turn red to let you know you were going fast.

  • @Spudforth Thanks for that bit of info, I wasn't aware that the speedo changed colors....very cool.

  • My Uncle had one them. I was amazed at the time how large it was & how much room there was inside.

  • @riitaalin It looks like you could stretch your legs straight out in front of you in that back seat.

  • @vintageappliguy Thanks for the heads up, I guess my trivia wasn't so up to par after all ;)

  • @KlankOntwerp Actually for the first half of the 1949 model year all Chrysler Corp. cars used the 1948 bodies and were known as first seriew 49's. The true or econd series 1949 models did not come out until the start of 1949
