Jón Páll won 8 out of 10 events in Pure Strength 1987, I think Jón Páll was a much better strongman.

@AthleteCentral yeah but ironically strength isn't the main thing with wsm...it's also about flexibility, endurance, mobility, fitness, and also strength of character.

this is true. However, this tested cardio endurance not muscle endurance. Strongman is about muscle endurance

But strongman is about endurance too... and it was certainly not light weight for someone to run with.

The track run at the end of the 1990 final was kind of B.S. It is one thing to have a loading race or farmers carry where shoulder and grip strength are being tested. However, this was simply cardio endurance with a light weight that had virtually no test of strength.
