I olso have a matsumoku ta50 mine is a VS (brown violin sunburst finish) flame maple veneer made in japan,1979. all original parts cept for the tuners and frets. It has that big knob unwired cant remember what its called.
just got the two volumes and tone pots wired like a les paul. Great sound and built like a tank.I like the very thin neck.
Many guitar makers copied the three peice neck

i have a cherry red aria ta-50...LOVE IT!!! it's one of those guitars that makes you feel good when playing it...very nice...am looking to get pedals as well...any suggestions?

I have put the video on youtube because there is only a few samples on the web. I enjoy my TA-50 each time I play it. It is a SOUNDY guitar. The best is to use it as a "blues guitar". As some of my friends said : "it plays things you have not played with your finger". I must say : "it is true !!".
