I really miss the days when Michael Bolton ROCKED. I always loved this song.

Michael Bolton is very underrated. I catch a lot of shit for listening to him, but good music is good music. Even his softer stuff is good. Great voice and great performer.

Awesome song by Michael Bolton. Interesting fact that not many people know is the original video of Fool's Game was lost in the mail heading to MTV from Michael Bolton's label. Got sent to some resident in the USA. That person decided to take it upon himself and mail it to MTV and after that it was immediately aired. If that person kept the video or threw it out, Michael may not have been known. The rest of his songs after this album went to the lovers, but hey he's very successful.

Future Megadeth Al Pitrelli replaced Bruce Kulick on the tour but 4 shows later the tour folded. If those recordings exist it would be Al's earliest recordings ever.

@originalsin19 yes it is NOT king biscut

@bcrich21 Oh wait. You mean THIS recording is from Westwood One Radio, and not King Biscuit? I'll have to look into that, then!

Are there more live recordings from Bolton's rock-era (his bluesy solo-albums, music with Blackjack and AOR-albums)? I'm really fond of hearing more of these earlier live performances.
@GoodGuitarSolos - there's a live recording from 1983 that was done for the King Biscuit Flour Hour (which is what this recording is from) of Bolton doing 5 songs: Without Your Love (from Blackjack's first album), Can't Hold On Can't Let Go, She Did The Same Thing, Stay (from Blackjack's second album), and Fool's Game. I don't know of any live recordings of Blackjack, nor of his RCA solo albums. I wish I did, believe me!

Thank you god!!! I heard this live version once 20 F#&(*%G years ago and have sworn to friends it existed and they thought I was nuts. How the hell this guy didn't get famous for this stuff I have no idea..

Me neither...he basically had picture-perfect AOR rock going on. He denounces it now, of course, but that's expected considering his current audience. He was revered by critics at the time...they thought he was brilliant. Why it didn't sell I'll never quite figure out.
