what i find strange is when religious people ,when shown alternative views which make more sense than there own still stick to there beliefs, its as if they dont want to learn and grow its like it is that ingrained in them ,no doubt from an early age ,its like cigarettes the companies philosophy is get them hooked young and you have them for life

According to Christian theology, one cannot be good without being empowered by the grace of God. St. Augustine distinguishes about falling into sin through human nature, worldly allurments and the deceit of evil spirits, but doing good ONLY through the grace of God. St. Paul notes that it is impossible for a man to be PLEASING to God without faith. Naturally so. So one can do all the good in the world, and God accepts it as such, for God cannot call good evil, but denying God's presence is evil.

It was founded by killing the natives and taking their land, then importing slaves for cheap labour, if this was done by Christian men (only men?) it doesn't say much about Christianity.

@cesargil79 personally i dont like christians because they are the biggest hypocrites to walk the earth, sinning everyday but dont worry! if you ask forgiveness everything you did is forgiven! Who cares if the country was founded by christian men. Did you know the richest christian man in the world has donated nothing compared to bill gates, who is atheist, who has donated nearly billions?
