Polish refugees on platform bustle about as some bid farewell to departing friends. Persian/Arabic inscriptions. Pan, wall of newsstand/booth. Dolly shot, relatives and friends bid one another farewell from train windows; along railcars, more crowded, various men in uniform. Belongings on platform. Men, women, and children mill about, looking anxious and excited, some dressed well, some with hats (mix of Middle Eastern and Baltic looks). CU, native porter salutes into camera. US soldier shakes hands with departing girls. Train passes camera R-L; refugees/conductor wave from train windows. MS, four US Army cameramen stand/pose on platform.

Excuse me, but migrants are not the same who refugees are.
Wish i could say anything more about this clip and the people it shows. What i know for sure is that these gulag survivers were concentrating in Palestine and Iraq, where they formed II Polish Corp, joined by the Carpathian Rifle Brigade. Some 4.000 Jews deserted...
If this is really 1944, these can`t be them.
