A view of the White River from cabin 77 at Gaston's White River Resort, during our annual fly-in. The water level was particularly high this year, due to all the midwest storms and flooding. Notice the fog on the far shoreline during this early evening video. In a few hours, this entire river will be covered by a 10-foot blanket of thick fog, lit up by shore lights, as it does every evening due to the cold water released from the upstream dam.

  • I have been fishing their once when I was a kid in the early 80's.... at the time the amount of water looked huge. I was born and raised in Marvell, Ar. and now reside 5 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean...but nothing will ever replace the sound of nature surrounding you...

  • the white fog that covers it every morning makes it a very apt name

  • i love nature, just being there cleans your body or something, its just better than yoga
