Here we see an absolute beast at work through Whitleybridge on loaded coal. In my last video of this working at Hensall the 70 had just set off but here we see the loco with the taps open! We also see a UID EWS 66 on empties from Drax passing through the station. I must say despite my previous poor opinion of the 70's I was very impressed by this performance, I think I'm a fan!

  • Almost yeah! We could see both of them on the approach it was just a matter of which one arrived first, thankfully luck was on our side!!

  • oo nearly got bowled!

  • Yes we noticed these as well, they are quite clever as they change from green to red as the loco passes by! The 70's are a much better engine than what I expected them to be on delivery.

  • Great vid. Lovely sounding locos, I noticed that 0.14 that there are small lights on the side of the 70.
