Dick Clark was such a great host, as always. Almost nobody could replace him.
-
It's like Jeopardy with some twists!

@texarkanajoe Thank you. I just remembered that!
-
@jwavada It was KDFI then. "KDFI-TV 27. The Talk Of Texas"
-
@zeldafanii It is mostly patterned after "The Who, What or Where Game" except for the Final Challenge being an obvious copy of Final Jeopardy.
-
@tvman19 There's an Episode where Larry Kaplan plays the Ultimate Challenge for $60,000.
-
Its to bad that it did'nt come back for a second season
-
it was kdfi in dallas/ft. worth. the station mayhave been called something else back in the early to mid 90's, but it may have been the same. challengers would come on at 5:30pm, and then trump card would come on afterwards
-
which channel 27 was it?
-
The several tweaks to its gameplay is another problem to the show.

The Final Challenge was a bit dramatic there. Anything could have happened there between the players & their wagers on the subject of The Book Shelf. This was a real good game here; alot of surprises not relating to the game took place, in addition to superlative gameplay from the players in terms of selecting their catagories; they picked the same ones over & over again. I love The Challengers even though it seemed to do the format mambo. The episode gets 4.5 stars; 4 stars for the show.
can you try to pull up an episode with the ultimate challenge
