longa is a form in ottoman music heavily influenced by gypsy compositions from the northern balkans, especially rumania - you can hear it in the melodic line - the kanun is imitating the cimbalom!

@reminore101 I think it's not related with cimbalom, you are using your fingers in Kanun, but there are sticks in cimbalom. Two instruments are totally different in terms of sound as well
