Thanks for posting. The student in me would like a narration of each step you take.

Congratulations man,
your fly is very good!!

Nice video. I like the high camera angle that you used. My flying club has a SkyCatcher on order. It should be arriving next month. Can't wait to fly it.

I like the flap setting technique you are using, setting the flaps on the downwind and then fly the airplane to touch down without having to retrim again and then only perhaps only using full flaps on short final which I see you did not do, I hardly ever use full flaps on the C172....best video so far on the Skycatcher....thanks for posting it.....
How did you get the tripod to stay put? I tried a million different locations (I have an articulating tripod) and could not get it to stay put anywhere. Is this one mounted to the aft bulkhead?

The video was taken with a GoPro hard mounted upside down using the nutplates intended for a ballistic chute handle, just forward of the aft spar carry thru.

The Xaon is very accurate. The main benefit is that when it beeps it gets your eyes out of the cockpit. It is non-directional, so you need to sweep the sky for traffic. When a contact is suddenly a half mile away, 300 feet above, and descending you will be glad you have one.
