wow!! This man is so underrated. He was a pure RB singer with the ability to sing scat and do all manner of unconventional vocal tricks.

I think he was forgotten because the RB era ended around 1962 and music changed.

However, Summertime shows his power and unique talent that makes him stand out.

Hey, Billy Stewart has a sound on him lol. I hear artist that ad notes (like Luther) and they sound great; don't get me wrong. I've heard Luther, Barry and others with absolutely beautiful voices and styles that can be copied but not matched but here is the difference. This man right here can't be copied either. Joe Cocker is famous for taking a song and singing it better but no way not even Joe can take this song back now lol.
